Local Numbers

Standard geographic numbers that appear local to callers in that region.

  • Trust β€” Higher answer rates from local appearance

Toll-Free Numbers

Free-to-call numbers for customers (you pay for incoming calls).

  • US/Canada β€” 1-800, 1-888, 1-877, 1-866
  • UK β€” 0800, 0808
  • Cost β€” Higher per-minute rates, but free for callers

Mobile Numbers

Mobile/cellular numbers that can receive SMS (where supported).

Setting Up Telephony

Step 1: Choose a Provider

Vocobase integrates with multiple telephony providers:

Step 2: Connect Your Account

  1. Go to DashboardΒ  β†’ Settings β†’ Integrations
  2. Select your telephony provider
  3. Enter your API credentials
  4. Click Connect

Step 3: Provision Numbers

  1. Go to Telephony β†’ Numbers
  2. Click Add Number
  3. Select region and number type
  4. Choose a specific number or let us assign one
  5. Link the number to an agent

Step 4: Configure Call Routing

Incoming call to +1-555-123-4567 ↓ Vocobase routing ↓ "sales-agent" handles call ↓ Conversation begins
